Biography
Dr. Julián J. Reinosa develops his work at Ceramics and Glass Institute of the Spanish Research Council in Madrid (Spain). He received his Chemist Degree by Autonoma University in Madrid in 2006 and his phD at the same university in 2011. In order to obtain multifunctional materials, he achieved ceramic glazes with bright metallic effect, bactericide characteristics and hydrophobic properties thanks to the incorporation of nanotechnology to traditional ceramics. He studied several dispersion methods for nanoparticles and enhanced properties were observed in systems as ZnO/TiO2, where high UV absorption was reached as the disadvantages of nanoparticles decreased. Also he applied the dispersion methods of nanoparticles in compositions made of several raw materials for its sinterization by using microwaves energy. The use of correctly dispersed susceptors supposed higher efficiency systems. J. J. Reinosa is a member of the research spin off AD-Particles whose activity is related to the dispersion of nanoparticles
